Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit is a subject in Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) that focuses on the fundamental principles, philosophy, and classical knowledge of Ayurveda. It includes the study of important Ayurvedic texts such as Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya, helping students understand concepts like Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, and basic treatment principles. The Sanskrit part teaches the basic Sanskrit language and grammar, which helps students read, understand, and interpret the original Ayurvedic shlokas and medical terminology found in classical Ayurvedic literature.
